Wooden everything - christmas DIY part II.

Hi, ho, ho!
How are You guys?  Is it cold out there? Sweden is suprisingly warm this winter. Wheeeere's the snow?! I mean seriously - christmas without snow in a Frozen land? :)

Today we're gonna uncover second part of my christmas DIY :)
So my father in law love wood, trees etc. He can make awesome and beautiful things from wooden discs. So I asked him to cut out shape of a christmas tree and n a house. And here's what I've got:

Wooden christmas tree! I decorated it with a little bit of fabric, which I bought on www.panduro.se :) little bit of pearl ribbon (whaat?!) and pearls my mom gave me :) they're with glitter so it's extra fancy :)
The star is actually a flower but i squeezed edges to make it look like a star :) and dooone!

I think it would look a lot better with a white coat under the fabric, but I was out of spray (;( ) and acrylic paints won't work very well on this kind of material (wood).

Second - my one and only gingerbreadhouse! Of course wooden disc and stuff :)

I covered it up with fabric (bought in Panduro Outlet), pinned it with a tucker :)

I used glue gun in every part. Windows, doors and little christmas tree are from my doughter's play blocks :) she doesn't use them anyway...

Sweets are made from wooden pearls from my mom's stock :D (she has like 10 000kg of it).

White cream-like decoration is made from an old tshirt.

And candycanes are real :)

What I need to do is get rid of this glue-spiderwebs :D (it's just that one thing I don't like in hot glue guns).

And that's it! Hope You like it! See You soon :)

Did You know
You can use cardboard instead of wood? You can also make windows and doors from fabric :) there are plenty of things You can use! Just be creative! :)

Christmas time is here! DIY christmas decoration

Hi there!
How You doin' in this magical-busy-tiredmoms time? :)
I'm exhausted, excited, busy and everything, but mostly - I'm gettin reaaal creative last time.
I prepared some DIY's for You! So why don't we just started? :)

Loook what I have made from folding rule! A christmas star!

My dauther broke lots of them (it's like my husband needs to take new one almoust every week) :)
I saw this on the swedish group on facebook with recycled DIY :) I just pimp it a little and here it is.
So this is how I did that:

1. I formed rule to shape of a star and glued all moving adges :)

I thougt it doesn't need to look very pretty 'cause I'm gonna cover it up.

2. I had (or still have) this awesome curtains. I needed to cut them when we were moving out so I thought like every crafter would think - of course I'm gonna use that!

3. And i did :) I covered my star with this.

4. Two last steps - put lights around it (but keep shape of a star) and make a little rope to hang it in the window :) and there You go!

I love this :)
This is the first christmas tutorial :) stay tuned for more :)
